I recently had my hair done for a wedding,my stylist curled my shoulder length hair with a curling iron?

and it stayed for 2 days. Can I get the same results with hot rollers? I don’t think I would be very good at using a curling iron on my own hair b/c its so thick. I am not worried about damaging it because I would only be doing it once in awhile. thanks a lot.
